Remember The Future - 40 years later...

This music video was originally posted on this day by an old high school friend by the name of Mike Parenti, on his Twitter account. It is a classic, innovative, yet relatively little known Progressive-Rock Concept album that I had completely forgotten about, but can still remember the first time Mike turned me on to it all those years ago when we were still kids, and how impressed we were with the music and what a unique sounding record it was. I mean, it's pretty deep. Lyrically and otherwise. Brings back allot of memories of that time in my life. Neither here nor there, but it was a much simpler and innocent time back then...

Never-the-less, it sorta' like introduced us to a whole new realm of music (that had become pretty popular at the time), and sparked our interest in other Progressive-Rock bands such as: Yes, Genesis, and Emerson, Lake & Palmer, just to name a few. Can't believe how fast time flies by, and that this album is 40 years old already...

I do think however, that the actual date of the 40th year anniversary edition of the digitally remastered, re-release of the album that is featured here was really May 21st, 2013, according to what seems to be indicated in the linear notes on the YouTube post. Either way, it is music that is definitely way ahead of its time...

You can click-on 'Read More' to hear Part II, or the second side of the album I guess; as it was originally recorded on vinyl, because those were the days before CD's...
